PRINCIPAL'S WELCOME

 

Dear Visitor,

Welcome to the Richboro Elementary website.  We invite you to explore its contents as they showcase just a snapshot of the amazing work that continues to go on here each day.

Richboro Elementary School is part of Council Rock’s rich history as our original school building was built in 1913 and was in use until 1989 when our home building was first opened.  This school year promises to be an exciting one for the students, staff and community as we plan to move back into our newly renovated building. We have enjoyed our time at the former Richboro Middle School, but there is no place like home and we can’t wait to see and experience all that our newly renovated school has in store for us!

Our focus continues to be teaching and learning where we foster an environment in which students are encouraged to ask questions, explore their curiosity and work to develop habits for successful life-long learning. MTSS (a Multi-Tiered System of Supports) continues to be a framework in which students have the opportunity to receive support when needed. Based on multiple data points, we closely monitor student progress and response to targeted interventions.  Found under the umbrella of MTSS is PBIS (Positive Behavior Supports). Within this portion of MTSS, we actively monitor student behavior and positively reinforce our school wide expectations. At Richboro, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe are our guiding principles. 

Richboro Elementary is supported by our RSA (Richboro School Association). They continue to support school wide events and help bring our community together.  Back to School Picnics, Trunk or Treats, Family Roller Skating name just a few of the events they design and host to help bring together home and school.  We are incredibly grateful for their generosity and unwavering support of our students and staff.

Each day, we are committed to putting students first, always.  It begins with greeting students in the morning, walking with them to class, bringing a smile to their faces and filling their worlds with meaningful learning opportunities in a positive, supportive environment.
